Foolproof Hummus


  • 2 cups cooked chickpeas.
  • 2 tablespoons tahini.
  • garlic cloves, minced.
  • lemon, juiced.
  • 1/4 cup exta virgin olive oil, plus extra to drizzle.
  • sea salt, to season.
  • pinch of paprika.


1. Place all ingredients into a food processor and blitz until smooth. 

2. To serve, drizzle with a little extra olive oil.


Easy variations:

Moroccan: Remove tahini and add 1 T rice malt syrup, 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp numeric and 1 tsp coriander

Green:  Add 1 c kale, stalks removed

Pumpkin:  Add 1 c organic pumpkin puree instead of tahini and go light on the lemon

Spice Black Bean:  Use 2 c black beans instead of chickpeas and add 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
