Strawberry & Honey Overnight Oats


2 tsp local honey

½ cup rolled oats

½ cup full-fat, plain Greek yogurt

½ cup water, almond or coconut milk

1 tsp cinnamon

1/4 cup chopped strawberries

A few blueberries


  1. Put all the ingredients in a mason jar or jam jar and stir thoroughly but carefully.
  2. Seal the jar and leave it in the fridge overnight.
  3. Sprinkle additional toppings in the morning before serving.


There are so many options here...  

  • You can swap the Greek yogurt for natural yogurt, and swap the water for any milk of your choice.
  • For a dairy-free version, replace the yogurt with mashed banana or applesauce. Using banana, or perhaps shredded coconut and/or cacao nibs,  is also a great way to reduce the sugar content – simply omit the honey.
  • Add crushed nuts, add a variety of berries.
  • For a vegan version, swap the yogurt and milk for plant-based alternatives like coconut yogurt.
  • Overnight oats can be enjoyed cold, for a lovely light, fresh breakfast in summer, or they can be heated in the microwave for 30 seconds if you prefer them warm.
